Corrections, Retractions, and Takedown

Arbor Hills Monitor is built on the principle that every factual claim is traceable to a primary source and survives scrutiny. When we make an error, we correct it promptly, visibly, and on the record.

This page has two purposes:

  1. A place to request a correction or retraction of published content.
  2. A place to request removal or amendment of content that identifies you.

Part 1: Corrections and Retractions

How to request a correction

If you believe a specific piece of content on this site contains a factual error -- a wrong number, an incorrect date, a mischaracterized regulatory record, or a mislabeled document -- please contact us at [email protected].

Please include:

We will review the request against the primary sources cited on the page. If the error is confirmed, we will correct it and note the correction publicly in the log below. If the primary source supports the original claim, we will explain why and keep the content as published. We aim to respond to correction requests within one month.

Corrections log

Substantive corrections to published content are documented here with: the date of the original publication, the date of the correction, a description of what changed, and the reason. This log is maintained as a public record.

Date published Date corrected Page What was corrected Reason

The public corrections log above is the site's public record of substantive corrections. A more detailed internal revision history (including minor clarifications and source updates) is kept in the project's private workspace and is not published; it is available to counsel or the insurance carrier on request.

Retractions

If a claim was materially false at the time it was published and is not correctable by clarification, we will retract it. A retraction notice will remain on the page noting that specific content was retracted and the date, rather than silently removing the text.

Accuracy is judged as of the publication date

Each article and page reflects the records and information available on the date it was published. Later events, new filings, or changed circumstances do not make earlier content false, and we do not update past articles as circumstances change. Corrections and retractions are for content that was wrong when it was published. We may, at our discretion, add a dated update note pointing to newer information.

Michigan MCL 600.2911 notice

Under Michigan law (MCL 600.2911), a defendant in a defamation action may limit damages by publishing a correction or retraction in response to a request. By maintaining this correction mechanism and responding in good faith to correction requests, this site preserves that statutory protection. A request for retraction directed to us using this page constitutes notice under MCL 600.2911. We will respond to any such request within the statutory period.

This is not legal advice; consult counsel for specific guidance on Michigan defamation law.

Part 2: Takedown and Removal Requests

If you are a person, company, or other entity identified on this site and you believe that specific content should be removed or amended, you may contact us using the process below.

We take removal requests seriously. Content that accurately reports government regulatory records and factual public information will generally be maintained; content that is inaccurate, misleading, or an unjustified privacy intrusion may be removed or amended.

How to make a removal or amendment request

Contact us at [email protected] with the following:

We will acknowledge receipt and respond within one month. For complex requests, we may need additional time. We will not remove content solely because it is unflattering to the subject -- our standard is accuracy and fairness, not comfort.

Rights holders

If you believe content on this site infringes your copyright or other intellectual-property rights, see also our IP, Fair Use, and Provenance page. For urgent IP infringement claims, contact us at the same address and state clearly that you are making an IP rights claim.

We will keep a record of all requests received and our responses. Requests we cannot act on -- because the content is accurate and from a primary source -- will be noted with an explanation.
